Here are a couple of slides, courtesy of my colleague Kevin Kleisen. The first depicts recent U. S. inflation, both core and headline. So, following a rather sharp decline in the headline CPI rate, we see an even sharper increase more recently. The core measure, however, remains relatively low and stable. This next graph depicts a variety of market-based measures of inflation expectations. From Bigfoot Eyewitness Radio: On last week's show, our guest, Simon Young, talked about several encounters he's had with Yowies in the Australian bush.
Well, tonight's show is a continuation of last week's show. The Crypto Crew reports: I heard of a recent unknown track find, one the sound like it could be a possible Bigfoot track, and I head out to investigate the area. Enter the deus ex machina, or at least the hope for some solution which will fall out of the sky and save us.I would never have imagined that Arnold Schwarzenegger, that movie-star playing a politician, would be the one who could actually pull it off. If he does, I'll gladly eat my hat. Great job!!!Labels: belgrade-brooten-elrosa boys basketball. I can hardly believe it's been since February since I've blogged here! Life has just been SO busy and blogging definitely took a backseat. So, what have I been doing? In March my son started Spring baseball and that finished up a few weeks ago. We played with several friends, had a great season, and Easton's love of baseball really began to shine. Baseball has been a big part of our life lately! I finished my first year teaching in a private, Christian school and LOVED it! This past year was my eighth year teaching and by far the best. I had a wonderful teammate who is more like one of my best friends now and we just worked SO well together. I loved everything about this past school year. By far the BIGGEST change is that I am expecting TWINS! We found out we were expecting March and found out it was twins in April. WOW! We are excited, shocked, nervous, grateful, and every other emotion you could feel! The BEST part has been seeing my son's excitement. It's so incredibly bittersweet. Usually in this zoned out state, I go off on some rant or other that amuses the hell out of all you readers. At the moment, all I can think of is, whoever decided to divert food crops to create biofuel for people who drive too much, needs to have a mile of barbed wire shoved up their ass and be forced to drink a gallon of herbicide. Once a plant freak, always a plant freak. Oh. And these assholes who keep insisting corn is the way to go, to create biofuel, need drowned in a vat of corn syrup. Anyway. Tune in tomorrow for details. And here's some humor for all of you, from the husbeast. I don't know if it's really as funny as I think, or if it's the lack of sleep making it hilarious. I'm flying to Mexico rather early tomorrow, joining a trip sponsored by the Archdiocese's Mission office.
I signed up for this many months ago, hesitating because of the time of year, but electing to do it because otherwise it would be a missed opportunity that might not arise for longer than I imagined.Such is how opportunities work out. So, as you can guess, I've been running about.
Here's how it happened and what it means for QueryShark readers and writers. As some of you know, I run the ChumBucket Query Experiment for writers querying me for real. Some of you might remember a blog post I did about assembling a book shelf. That bookshelf led to the QueryQuestion. A few of you seemed to get worked up over the piece I wrote about my involvement with mobile phones. I said nothing that wasn't essentially known to the Parole Board already. My last hearing, late last year, was around the issue -and they were not overly exercised by the issue then. The issue, as ever, is a simple one. The test for release is whether I pose a more than minimal risk to life and limb. Not whether I'm a perfect citizen, easy to deal with, or whether I break the odd rule here and there. It's dangerousness. Recent events have caused me to reflect upon how much I hate loosing sheep, whether it be to another parish, another church, or that other church known as cafeteria Catholicism. My secretary remarked, "Wow, you really take it personally. " Damn straight I do. This isn't just my job, it is my vocation. And if that weren't enough, there is always the knowledge that I will be held accountable by the Lord for each and every soul entrusted to my care on the Day of Judgement. .
