Does science destroy, or enhance, delight and wonder? I'm a bit of a science geek, so I'd go with the following, from What I wish my pastor knew about the life of a scientist: If there is one personality characteristic of the vast majority of scientists I have met, it is delight. There is something about science that attracts people who are fascinated and thrilled by the world. But the specificity of their delights is one of delight’s secrets: like love, delight is always most potent when it is particular. When God can't get your attention through quiet whispers, sometimes he takes up a hammer. With precisely placed blows - a Bible passage, a friend's words, a magazine picked up and glanced at - he drives the point home. And when that’s not enough, he wields the sledge hammer of painful experience. It gradually dawned on me late last year that the same word was popping up everywhere, as unmissable as those huge red-on-yellow billboards shouting “SEX!” beside the freeway. Except all my signposts were reading “pride”. I read Pilgrim's Progress and watched Christian stumble because of his pride. I flicked through The Briefing and discovered a review of CJ Mahaney's Humility: True Greatness. "As if God knew this relentless repetition wouldn't be enough, a series of painful failures showed me the full ugliness of my pride.

She is a Brontëite as She keeps an old, hardbound copy of “Jane Eyre” on her bookshelf and reads it regularly. Good morning! Link here.I guess the process of growing and maintaining locs is too difficult for some people because according to South African reports, there have been many cases of people being a target of hair robbery. There is a high-demand for locs on the black market because of a new styling technique called "crocheting", which is a weaving technique that uses human hair pieces as extensions for locs. Apparently the demand for this style is greater than the supply because hair thieves are rampant in Johannesburg, South Africa. In North America, a region that often values length and straight hair as beauty, we usually see womyn who may be ready to steal for some high quality Indian Remy hair.
But, it's interesting that in this area of South Africa, dreads are so popular that people are ready to lie, cheat and steal to rock this trend. The process to grow your locs to be exactly the way you like them is one that needs plenty of patience and TLC so I would be devastated if anyone even touched my hair. Were you all surprised to hear about this hair stealing trend as well?. Today I ventured out with my brother, we headed off to the funeral of my Mothers brother.
trying to stand upright on an icy hillside behind my ageing Mother and Father.Luckily no one fell and broke a hip or anything. I think however I have a very young cousin who wished that she had not worn open toed sandals to a snow and ice covered hill in Minnesota. But I have to give her credit, her toes looked lovely and they were perfectly manicured. I am sure as she shivered away in her leather coat she was quite jealous of my down filled parka and especially of my feet which were warmly incased in lambs wool covered snow boots. .
